Melissa uses many layers of transparent paint to create depth and light, with very simple shapes. She usually paints with soft, muted colors so that each piece has an ethereal feel to it…almost a whisper.

Melissa grew up in the Mississippi Delta, where her love of painting began. She studied at Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and is presently living in Bentonville, Arkansas. Melissa has been painting for over 30 years, and has had her work represented in interior shops, galleries, and art shows. Her work can also be found on the HGTV show “Fixer to Fabulous.”
She is proud, not to mention thankful, to be an emerging female artist, who has been able to do what she loves, and to work with so many who enjoy her art.
